Bourgeois. November 2007
- The main street in Moscow is Tverskaya. Every capital resident will tell you that. The most Tverskoy, i.e. central and fashionable is the Gorky restaurant. On November 19th it will celebrate its 3rd anniversary.
In the 60-s not far from Mayakovskiy square there was a cafe, a Mecca for jazz musicians. The cafe closed and not far from it the Gorky restaurant was opened.
The hit of the season are jazz nights with Maria Tarasevich and Anna Balasheva, with a sponsorship of Johnnie Walker Gold Label, a unique brand of Scottish whisky.
Maria Tarasevich, femme fatal of Russian jazz, together with stunning Anna Balasheva managed to recreate the charming and exciting atmosphere of beauty and celebration, which appeals to the Moscow beau-monde.
As you know, new is forgotten old, thus old jazz hits are popular today, especially when performed by real artists: Igor Butman with Maria Tarasevich, Sergey Manukyan, Polette MacWilliams, Vadim Eilenkrig and Michelle Walker.
